Error in CE 6,0 and 5,6,1

first make sure you download it from cheatengine.org

if that doesn't solve it try disabling your antivirus and reboot
if that fails uninstall your av and reboot

You could also try ce 6.0 , but I doubt that will make a difference since the same setup program is used for that (inno setup)

Try running it in XP capability mode. Or if you can in XP, run as administrator.

rightclicking the setup and chosing "run as admin" didn't work?
and uninstalling your anti virus and internet protection didn't work either ?

do you own the computer you're on? Because it sounds like you're running in a limited account instead of admin account
