OK, so a while ago I accidentally deleted my character.
Stfu.
Anyway, I started again, and I'm a Shadowfoot (I think) in the thieves guild. I need to steal from some shitty wizard Fathis Aren, but he's nowhere to be found. There's the chance that I accidentally murdered him previously or something, I don't know. Anyway, I've assessed everywhere that he goes on the wiki at what times, gone to them all multiple times, and searched around town for hours. Does anyone know what I can to do fix this?

And the dark brotherhood lets you murder the less important important people.

| Well I need to find him because the door to his tower is locked with a key and the key isn't in his room.. Does anyone know another way to do the quest?

If you know that he truly doesn't exist, you can cheat in the key. If that doesn't help at all, such as he's supposed to catch you or something, you can use a cheat to automatically consider the quest finished. It helped me TONS when doing the kvatch quest and I wasn't able to teleport back to Kvatch after taking the sigil stone.

Go to his door and duplicate a shit load of cheese. Save the game then load it back up, pick up all the cheese and save and exit then load it back up. Door should be missing thus he will appear, MAjJikEl!!
