Everyone in my town was forced to be evacuated by a black hawk. 12 people confirmed dead, 90 missing. Also, Brisbane (where Kalen lives), is flooding, and there's an estimate of 20,000 houses that are going to be affected there. It's also going to get worse as the tide peaks overnight.

I cbf typing a huge story about it but holyshitfirstfloodexperience.

It was pretty terrible, multiple full towns lost everything.

A 7m wall of fucking water swept through some of them and literally destroyed buildings.

Also, at one point, the dams were at like 170% and all of the gates still have to be constantly open.

We're the lucky ones, being a second story house and all.

They're saying that it might be worse than the 1974 floods.

Also it's heading down to north NSW.

Just spent like 6 hours taking errthing out from under the house, washing it out with a pressure cleaner, washing the stuff, then putting it back. Pretty much all of my books and my Guitar Hero shit is ruined, but eh. I don't really mind. Half of my sister's stuff from her childhood is fucked. Then while cleaning mine (because it was underwater and most of it was plastic/metal stuff) I swear she was being careless with it on purpose, because she kept dropping things in the gutter, which was flowing.

Last 2 days have been shit.
