All Core 2 CPUs are 64 bit.

Most likely, you wont notice any speed difference between 32 and 64 bit. What 64 bit operating system mainly does is make your old 16 bit applications not work whatsoever.

last year I would have probably agreed with you, but after seeing so many programmes take a HUGE use of 64 bit I say go for it.

example: Wii emu - 32bit = kinda slow 64 bit = perfect speed.
Bigger chuncks of memory get put into the programme faster and thus helping, and with certain programmes with memory leak problems like the wii emu used to, it seemed to have helped alot unlike the 32bit version did.

Long story short: if you only play games and watch films just stick with 32bit, if you use quite advanced stuff then think twice about it and read some advice of the google machine.

Oh yeah I forgot that 64 bit also allows you to take advantage of more than 3 GB of RAM. Right?
