Windows XP is outdated and bad, just bad. It utilizes ram terribly, and is very very unstable compared to Windows 7. Windows 7 is the best operating system Microsoft has and probably will ever make. The next OS they make is prob' gonna be another Windows Vista.
Protip: Most people who say Windows 7 sucks is because they can't afford it or don't know how to get it. |
u can emulate xp in w7 if u are that nostalgic

what the hell are you even playing? Look up "XP mode", it is preatty much free xp for win7. Im not sure if it is restricted, but i havent had any problems with it. |

I dunno about you, but my sister's university gives all their students Windows 7 Home Premium edition for free.
Maybe your college is run by cheapskates. |

That XP mode has never really helped me get a program working correctly. Only in rare cases with old software that checks which OS you have, and gets confused because it doesn't know what W7 is. |

erm, I find it hard to believe that you have "a lot" of games that can't work / be simply solved. |

Pretty much any game will work with Windows 7. I'm sure some jackass was having trouble running his Windows 95 game and complained about it on a forum, but rest assured the whole "games won't work with 7" argument is completely irrelevant to any real world scenario.
Running a pirated copy of Windows is not going to infect you with tons of malware, stop buying into anti-piracy propaganda.
Speaking of piracy, pirating software isn't "rebelling against high software prices." I'm not even anti-piracy but this argument still pisses me off. If you're against a companies policies, you don't use their product. Pirating the product anyway is called being cheap. Now we've all done it, but don't try to make yourself feel like you're standing for something because you're not, you just want something, but not bad enough to pay for it.
Finally, Windows XP is outdated and not good for anything but *really* old computers. It was good in it's time, which was 9 years ago. It's time to let go. I'm sure you're still using a CRT too.
I've been gone for months, I come back and read ONE thread, and it's full of this much stupidity. Looks like it's time to leave again. |
