Why does life exist? Because it had to. It's very simple... let me explain. For more details on this, research do some research on the work of Lawrence Krauss.

But let me summarize what he says.

If you take away all the particles, all the radiation, so all you have is nothing... quantum physics says that "nothing" is unstable. Fluctuations of virtual particles cause a big bang.

Our universe can be one of three possible shapes. Open, flat, or closed.

In an open universe, it would expand forever and accelerate over time.

In a closed universe, it would expand, accelerate, and then retract in a big crunch.

In a flat universe, it would expand, accelerate, then slow down, but never quite stop.

We live in a flat universe. The reason is because only such a universe can be created from nothing. If you add up all of the energy in the universe, positive and negative, it adds up to zero.

In the beginning, there was nothing. But quantum instabilities caused that nothing to divide into positive and negative energy/matter.

The only question is where did the laws of physics come from? String theory attempts to explain that one. What we need is a law that basically says "anything is possible", relatively speaking.

And to those who say the universe is fine-tuned... well, Krauss puts it best: "It's no surprise we find ourselves living in a universe that allows life... because in universes that don't allow life, we wouldn't be here. It's just that simple".

Who says the concept of creation even exists outside of our physical reality? All of these things are only perceptions from the point of view of the person that's thinking about them. Beyond the world we know everything could be different. None of us have the mental capacity to work any of this out.
