Okay, me and a lot of people are having shit loads of issues with Beta. LUCKILY I had Minecraft Alpha on my Linux system & Laptop that I had not yet updated. I copied the bin folder and pasted it on my Flash drive and put it on Windows. Works great. No more FPS issues or any of that bs. I will wait until the patches are fixed and then update again. Here is the Alpha bin folder for those of you who are having problems with Minecraft Beta 1.0_01
The Path to place it in: C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft replace the bin you have already and turn of your internetz so it doesn't update.
In Linux go to your home folder press ctrl+h and go to .minecraft and replace it.
These files for x64 Windows and x64 Linux. It works on x86 Windows. I don't know about x86 Linux though.
Hope this helps for those of you that are like me and can't wait the extra day for the fix.

it's not really actually that cool
you can throw eggs, trees work again, now when you hover over items a name tag comes up, and apparently some super cool rare thing.
not really too important, considering this is the beta update
oh and hey0 doesn't work, so I won't be playing mc for a while
