|
|
I'm playing a browser game (that I'd prefer not to mention specifically because I want to use this hack there for a long time) and in this game, there is a count down timer for something to happen.
Using the speedhack ability of CE, I have reduced HOURS to MINUTES, however, MINUTES is still too long. (The game translates the duration of the countdown from DAYS printed on the time to do whatever to HOURS, so 2 days 1 hour is shown on the countdown as 49 HOURS, and speedhacking it brings it to 49 MINUTES when set to 500.0, 20x speed.)
Is there any way to make CE Speedhack move even faster? It's currently capped at (I'm guessing) 20 times normal speed. Can it be jumped up higher? 100 even? Something in the source code maybe? (I know nothing of programming, so it's nothing I could do myself, if it was a source code and compiling issue.) I tried simply typing in higher numbers than 500.0, but they are disregarded or overridden by the 20 setting slider, I believe.
Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated.

It is not capped. The problem is that Your comp is too slow to run the game even faster. If You try it on a very small program, You can speed it up to crazy speeds.
With different programs, I always get different results about the "max speed" that I can achieve.

You can type in 1000 and click apply speed
anyhow, I bet that when you refresh the page the time is back to normal or you get an out of sync error message

My machine is 3.01Ghz, 8 GB RAM. I'm sure that's more than enough power to increase the speed further, but Cheat Engine does not allow anything higher.

Nope, I finished 2 "projects" that required over 35 hours each in under 1 hour last night. (I could post a screenshot but it'll give away the game, which y'all don't need to know.) I checked it, just now when I woke up, and they're still "completed" and I'm still allowed access to things in the game that have those 2 items as prerequisites.
And as I mentioned, typing in 1000 didn't make the countdown move any faster than when it's set at the max of 500.0 @ 20.
Doesn't matter, I guess. It's not working this morning for some reason that I'll probably never figure out. (And no, it's not patched. Stuff doesn't get detected, scheduled for fixing, and fixed in that short of a time span. Especially not in the middle of the night.)
EDIT:12:05pm, it's working at the cap again. 500.0 and 20.
