Quite excited about it, it will happen in the month of January.
What are you opinions about lasering eyes?

No idea, I'm also interested but I'd hate it if it goes wrong.
Currently I can read and enjoy 3d movies just fine with my glasses, but if one eye goes completely blind because of that I'd be pissed

But hey, if after January suddenly all your posts turn into unreadable gibberish as if you've been blindly hitting the keyboard I guess I know enough

hmm, actually, I doubt there's much difference then...

I like glasses on most people.
I think it's a waste of money.

I need good eyes for my job, also eye dots and glasses cost a lot of money too.

@Dark Byte,
There's a clinic in Amsterdam which is the best in Holland, I'm not afraid it would go wrong. Also, the chance you get blind is like the same as a roller-coaster which crashes

Who knows maybe a rollercoaster crashes at the end of January, would you still do it?

Yes, of course.
I'm not someone who chances his choices, unless there happens something big. Also, they improved a lot since 10 years ago, it's almost guaranteed it won't get screwed up.

I don't really have to worry about that, I have perfect eyesight, but if they mess up your eyes doesn't your insurance cover that?
You can get new eyes from organ donors.

it's all machine done and it compensates for pretty much everything. it'll stop if you somehow manage to shift your (paralyzed at the time) eye, etc.

don't go cheap, check if covered by insurance, etc etc you will be fine.

I'm going for the most expansive one.
Don't know if Cryoma is trolling or not, I don't think you can get new eyes.
The only thing I'm worrying about is that I need to protect while playing basketball for 2 months. Also, I cannot rub in my eyes for 2 weeks.

I've actually been considering this as well.

I'm just afraid if I flinch, my eyes will be ruined.
Also, if this is just to correct your vision, what is it at currently? Degree wise.

Cryoma is trolling, eye transplanting doesn't exist and won't exist anytime soon because of the trillions of nerve endings in the back of the eyes that would have to be reconnected (even the smallest needle that exists today cannot separate each nerve). Also, the nerve endings are at the back of your eyes so surgery is physically impossible since they cannot reattach the nerve endings while the eye is in your socket.

your eye can't move, it's effectively paralyzed.

your own movement is entirely compensated for automatically.

Laser eye surgery is now a really safe process, and is pretty cheap now too.

If you're not yet in your twenties I would not recommend lasering your eyes though.
