The Eye Toy is a webcam... that's pretty much all it is.
Kinect interprets 3D scene information from a continuously-projected infrared structured light. Kinect also detects the players surroundings, such as furniture. It does a lot more than the Eye Toy.

The kinect is pretty shit compared to the other model made by the same company.
