Get an Xbox 360 or w8 for a 720  .
But i would prefer Xbox and PS3 because they are MeAN!
P.S. What i mean by 'MeAN!' is Awesome.

Xbox or Ps3 if you plan to play anything with actual graphics and depth. If you are looking to get a family based system, Wii would be perfect. But since you are on this forum you are probably looking for FPS games and such. Don't get the Wii expecting it to be years of fun. It gets boring after the first week. The controller sensors suck as well and are noticeably laggish and behind your movements.
I have a Wii and an Xbox 360, I've played the Wii maybe a handful of times (mainly for Zelda when it first came out) and haven't touched it sense. It's not much of an exciting system.

Second best thing would imply that the PS3 is better, frankly, that is not the case. They are on equal stance, it simply comes down to preference. One that enjoys more single player campaign games with low replay value would be more suited for a PS3, whilst a more online centered player who enjoys FPS with high replay value would be better suite with a 360.
