Let's see if CEF can come up with a series of simple problems. A problem may be from any particular field (even esoteric ones), but it should be introductory. People may either answer or pose a new question. The idea is to get people interested in new problems, or demonstrate how lack of knowledge in a field can make simple problems seem complex.

Problem One: Discrete Math - Theory of Numbers

Prove that if a divides b, and b divides c then a divides c.
