My sisters best friend died last night.
She was severely depressed, and OD'd on pills on Wednesday and had since then been lying on the floor of her apartment until they found her yesterday.
Her heart was still beating when they found her, but her organs were pretty much fried, and her brain was all swollen, so she didn't survive.

| That is pretty messed up. I don't get why people use pills to kill themselves. It's a horrible way to go if you OD on stuff like paracetamol or ibuprofen. Aside from the painful organ failure and brain swellings you described, it messes up the acids in your stomach, heightening the chance of you puncturing your stomach wall. Suffocating yourself with a plastic bag is a really nice way to go. You start to fall into a deep lucid dream, after which you slowly fall into sweet blissful death.

Seems like people that are depressed almost always die from overdosing on antidepressants. Don't hate yourself, hate the people that make you feel bad.
