i can't type "1 2 3 4 7 8 9 0" on my keyboard -- only on the num pad
because of this i can not also type the "SHIFT + 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9" characters
how do i fix this?

Get a new keyboard, obviously you spilled any kind of fluid onto your PCB which is why the whole row does not function.

Another solution is to remove the keys and try to dry and remove any substance from the PCB.

If it's Acer there is no PCB anymore. They use an emulsion with the traces printed directly on it. Cool thing is you can completely roll it up as in toilet paper and it will unroll and still work.

Do as Holland suggests get a new keyboard.
