Which one should i use visual basic or delphi?

You wont get anything but opinions from a topic like this.

So to follow along with that, I would suggest neither. I would suggest you learn C/C++ instead.

But if you are forcing yourself to pick between the two, Delphi. VB is a dying language. And if you were planning on VB6, it is already dead.

I think from now on we should just lock these threads. "which is best" does not have an definite answer and it leads to a bunch of opinionated responses.

Pick which ever language you want, they are all made specifically for a given purpose, and can be used for much more then their original purpose.

If a language can access the system API, it can be used for just about anything.
