I just bought an Acer Aspire One preinstalled with Windows 7 Starter.
It was fine.. until I came with the most idiotic thing in the world...

7 STARTER IS VERY CRAPPY.

So, I have a Windows 7 Ultimate (pirated) disk right here, and a WinXP Sp2/

I have some questions:

- Can I let go windows 7 starter (THAT MEANS REFORMAT THE DISK) then install another version of Windows? Is that a good thing to do?
- Will it void my warranty to acer? I just bought it 3 days ago.
- What will be better, if possible? XP or Ultimate?

Yes, it is good to do if your computer is getting sluggish.
No idea. Don't think so.
W7 Ultimate.

Ask the store you bought it from.
And best OS depends on specs, anything under 2gb of ram should stick with xp.

What you got is a netbook and depending on the specs it's the OS they will preinstall.

Go and return it, then go and grab something with better specs as they are preinstall with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

examples of better Acer Aspire netbooks

As the word implies "STARTER" you really can't expect any better. Crappy in a sense if it has low specs (you can still use it for moderate gaming, though).

First, upgrading to a better version is a good thing but, put into consideration the unit you are using.
Second, as for the warranty, you can check this out at: https[:]//secure3[.]tx[.]acer[.]com/FindSystem/FindSystem[.]aspx (sorry post URL yet)
Lastly, ultimate is better but i think u should base it on your systems performance, or might as well stick to ur starter kit instead.
