Yep. AMD's solution looks promising. Bullet physics for collision detection and DMM for calculating realistic destruction and reaction of objects (e.g. freezing objects make it more fragile and warming metal makes it easier to bend Wink).

Got a Nvidia ION platform and GPU-Z detect it as not having hardware accelerated PhysX capabilities due to it requires 32 CUDA cores, but the ION only got 16 CUDA.

Fluidmark still runs, but it lags like hell.
Applied the Hybrid PhysX mod 1.04FF and this time GPU-Z says it has
hardware accelerated PhysX

Ran FluidMark again and the test was smooth, but temp has skyrocket.

Before PhysX mod: 51C max
After PhysX mod: 60C max

Anyway make sure it's actually enabled by checking on Nvidia PhysX properties rather than relying on GPU-Z.

As for other physics engine, there is Havok but it's also gobbled up, not by Nvidia, but Intel

Don't know what physic engine is applied to this demo, but I doubt it's PhysX.

I'm corrected. Sorry I was thinking about other star wars game. (( The MMO one, Old Republic)) I remember one of our maxforums members that is working on that game mentioning something about it.
