|
|
i had a ragefest last night and I accidentally kicked my desktop which was in the living room floor. anyways, i bashed in the cd burner thingy and now I need a new one.
my local best buy only sells dvd burners and i don't feel like ordering anything online.
extremely stupid question here on my part, but is a dvd burner the same crap as a cd burner in the sense that they can both read games, play movies, or record crap?

| I think most games have gone over to using DVD's, and i a CD rom cant read them (My old one could not atleast :/) And movies is a little up and down. Since they also got the format called VCD (Seen a lot of them in China/thailand), but there too DVD is most used.

You can buy a DVD burner from a local PC store or Newegg or anything really for about $30 or less. Yes DVD burners are compatible with CD's. Just make sure it has at least 16x write speed.
