This is a not a begging thread, I pirated the game (sadly) but onto the point.
1. Can creepers swim down a stream?
2. How far down a cave do I have to go to get better materials?

Creepers can flounder in water, which they generally attempt to avoid.
Caves usually aren't that big, so just explore the whole thing.
Be sure to look at the ceiling.

Also depends on sea level etc.

i find them useful.
also: dont waste time making ladders you can swim up waterfalls.
dont use torches. use lava.
etc
