If you don't want to risk breaking something, don't get a dual core and try to unlock it to quad. if you do that, you're definitely taking a risk. I'm about to change the build I picked out for you, brb.

Everything's the same except for the processor+video card. If the 460's so good, go ahead, it's right there! Plus, now the build is only $685.

Mind you mine does come with fans to fill the 3 other places (LED one in front, other two on top), without those it would be 572 dollars. With the quad core mine would be 633, with fans it would be 655, with a 1gb version it would be 675(without fans 653). Either way you put it my build is cheaper and better, as it has a 1.5TB hard drive.

Sir, I think I've figured out why your build is so cheap, it doesn't have a motherboard.

Why would you sacrifice performance in all the other components just to throw in an SSD? SSD's are nice, but it just comes down to the fact that people don't spend all their time loading programs and restarting their computer.

Where is the sacrifice in performance?
You get a quad at 2.66GHz mind you that my personal quad runs at 2.66GHz and all the programs I throw at runs great.

Ram is still at 4GB not 2GB so no sacrifice here.

You get a 500GB which does take some time to fill up and ...

SSD=ma turbo!!!!!!!

Lose that SSD and you can get a GTX 460 and a larger HDD. GFX card aside, you can also grab a better MoBo and/or a Phenom II X4 945, which benefits from having 6MB L3 cache.

Although that would be a pretty nifty build with lots of potential...

A legit build just added the mobo I have, 694 with a case, module psu, dual core (which can be unlocked in the bios to quad core by simply a hit of a enter key), and 4gb of memory.

GG

Actually it is if you take advantage of the overclocking, and unlocking abilities it is better than yours. But if not it does lose to yours.
