but I managed to win

on protoss
Harras proxy extractors rush

I went on rush summon extractors on the opponent's base so I didn't give him time to make addons to his first barrack.

(( was against a terran ))

I closed up my base as soon as possible with lots of cannons and a zealot to counter the marines then just went void rays.

strategy: delay the opponent to tech up and pwn him.

I don't really play RTS's any more. The last one I really enjoyed was warhammer 40k (not DoW 2) But since that crashes my computer after a few minutes of playing (Puts it into an irreversible power saving mode;-Wink I haven't really bothered with any.
