Sorry Ricardo, yeah of course it's all hypothetical. I tried searching everywhere for some type of equation to support my theory, can't find one. It's an interesting theory nonetheless, but yeah I just like debating. Don't insert master bating jokes. LMAO.
I seriously don't think the world will end in 2012 either. Most "predictions" of the future are so open to interpretation, that you could probably convince someone that the opening of a McDonalds somewhere was predicted by the Mayans.

Hell NO!
Not every generation. In these days, apocalypse is bound to happen in every 4 or 5 years. Just look at it. 2000, 2005, 2008, 2012 and so on... Someone is always expecting apocalypse. And even more, it became business. The reason is simple.
Convince people that apocalypse is coming. Promise to save them. Register this shit as a religion and in most of the countries, You will see money out of it with donations etc. Also in most countries, You will not need to pay taxes because they support religions this way.
Starting and running a religion is frankly a good business and many people are earning money from the "apocalypse theory". Just look up how many people will try to save You from certain death in 2012 if You follow them (and support them with Your hard earned money).
It is just all about money, and it becomes more and more funny every year.

Yeah, but I have seen even better.  Unfortunately it is not an english site so it is useless to put a link here, but here is the basic idea of the most hilarious apocalypse business I have ever seen. Enjoy!
| Code: | You never know when will apocalypse coming, but a talented group of esoteric people can warn You just in time, a few days before apocalypse would coming. Then You have time to say hi to Your friends and do stuff before You die.
So basically they will warn You a few days before apocalypse would coming, for a monthly fee.
The best part is, if they would not see it and apocalypse would happen without their warning, they will give back Your money. Guess You will apreciate it when You are dead. |

I've read through some of the comments here, and apparently people can't notice that when the earth rotates, it creates a magnetic field, which protects us from an array of dangers. If it stops spinning, no more magnetic field, which could be completely catastrophic to any part of the earth.
We'd just be a sitting duck, waiting for the faithful hunter to kill.
