Poor scientists.
Don't even bring up dipshit topics like this.
Fucking NASA would smell a planetary object coming fifty light years away.
On top of that, the way the solar system is organized, it's impossible for planet sized objects to travel around without either gaining a new orbit, or colliding with other planets (preferably Jupiter or the other gas giants)

Quote: | The idea was first proposed in 1995 by Nancy Lieder, founder of the website ZetaTalk. Lieder describes herself as a contactee with the ability to receive messages from extra-terrestrials from the Zeta Reticuli star system through an implant in her brain. She states that she was chosen to warn mankind that the object would sweep through the inner Solar System in May 2003 (though that date was later abandoned) causing Earth to undergo a pole shift that would destroy most of humanity. |
Crazy person predicted it and on the wrong date. It has been revised back to a later date but when it doesn't happen in 2012 it will be revised to another later date and this will continue. Also a polar shift would not destroy humanity.

The world win end in 2010, simple because everyone will be so concerned with cramming as much crime in before the world ends.

Nah, the world will end in 2012. But not because of some "scientific" bull.. But, because Sarah Palin will run for president, and win...

Read the wiki. Quote: | Earth's rotation ceasing for exactly 5.9 terrestrial days | That alone would wipe out nearly half of earths population.
The side that got 6 days of light would burn the side that got 6 days of night would freeze.

Uhh.
6 days of daytime would not burn anything. Heat it up a lot, but not burn it.
6 days of night wouldn't be enough for anything to freeze.
dude, its six fucking days. People can just stay at home for six days.

To be fair the north pole (or south) has months of daylight and it's fine.

It's also not 104 degrees in the summer there. And what's the average temperature there?
Where I live if we had 6 solid days of sun light and the temperature was 100 degrees during summer, the place would burn. On hundred degree days here it reaches 90 by 9 am. Do the math.

first of all its feeling the heat, and feeling the heat is not the same as dying.
Since the invention of A/C's we've been safe from the heat.
Same with the cold.
Seriously bro, its 6 days, not forever.
@The North Pole point, it can't apply everywhere because the sun's rays aren't as focused there and reflect easier.

Well we all know it wouldn't be the heat or the cold that killed us. It'll be the sudden stop.
And so you know. An A/C won't save your ass in 150 degree weather. They are only designed to cool at a temp 15 or 20 degrees lower than the outside ambient temp.
