CCleaner and Defrag.

If it still continues, check the hardware. Dead RAM slots aren't that uncommon. Make sure everything is plugged in properly, a lot of them fall out easily. I know my Hard Drive / CD-Rom cables can fall out any minute because they were loose and didn't have clips on them.

Be sure to get all the dust out of your computer (Mainly fan areas, if your main fans aren't working properly your computer might severely slow)

Virus scan, of course.
