what is the target program?
How much memory does it take up and how much does your computer have and how much paging room is still available

and perhaps it's a registry setting in windows that kills applications that aren't responding within a specific amount of time

I found out the problem. It was due to my pointer file. It had grown beyond 20 gigs, which pushed the hdd that CE is on to run out of disk space.
