Can u tell me what i did wrong i tryed to edit one game on ds(with emulator_ it was about when i hit an guy i get 3 pts every hit i get 3 so i got like 13 pts and i find the address of the value and the pointer i change the 13 pts to 400 and when i resume the game just continues from 13 pts why?(And dont tell me that cheat engine doesn't work on emulators because i tried to edit the health bar and it worked).

More information would be helpful. Does it still display the 400 pts? Possibly you just edited the display string for your score and not the actual score.

Sounds like you did modify the display string and not the actual value.

When you find your pointer try what accesses this address.

I'm having this same issue, I found my value but it's turning out that it's the display string, I can change it and it shows as changed but reload drops it down where it should be.

Perhaps the score is stored differently. E.g as a 1 byte value

I tied with 1 byte i got the value it changes stuff but not in an right way...like i found 13 pts 2 address comes out edited them both to 200 and i freeze then when the enemy hits it gives him 200+ pts to him with one hit... and my stats stays.

edit: i found that i was using the enemy pts now i got my address but is the same when i put like 300 my pts are up like 64 same as 3000 pts up by 174

when it is -335 pts i get 2 values (first)175(second)174

Is the 1 byte always fucked up?
