Confirmation required:
Up until recently, Cheat Engine was the best tool hands down for hacking the Flash games site, Webkinz. The best part about that was Webkinz runs scripts on the client-side computer for its games, and it meant simply targeting the required addresses to poke values so that when the server was communicated to once again, the values would get administered.
However, it seems a recent update on the site put the kaibosh on this- from my experience, I believe the scripts are now salting the values somehow so that they can no longer be searched as before: values of x8, exact values, etc- now it seems the multiplication factor to the sums we are searching for in CE is a decimal or even based on a roving value like a timeclock amount.
Although I am not as experienced in hacking I was wondering if one of the master hackers can verify this... or even prove me wrong and that the site can still be hacked- (mainly for KinzCash values). And yes I know it is mainly a kids site- and it's kind of stupid, blah blah- so let's get past that and get on with the real issue here, hacking a tough site, OK?
Can someone take this on? I can provide a pet code to create a WK account for this purpose.
Cheers!

Maybe a stupid question but did You try to search for "4 bytes" values only? Did You try to search for it as Double type value? Some flash games are using Double.
and make sure to target the right process: plugin-container.exe, NOT firefox

Thanks for this advice. I will try it out when I have time again to give it a go.
I found recently that by searching for simple changes (amount increased, decreased, etc) yields values, but these values are some crazy, nonsensical number- usually in the trillions- and there will be three of them (or so) tied together whenever the search results are yielded. I had tried seeing if they were mathematical operations of one another but couldn't figure out an algorithm that made sense.
Also, one more general question- when CE does consecutive searches, does it search from the beginning value, or the last value searched?
Thanks!

A summary of the main methods that may prove useful:
http://www.szemelyesintegracio.hu/cheats/41-game-hacking-articles/88-hacking-flash-games-with-ce
Btw. Your result may be related to the 6th point, encryption. If You freeze the address, You will see if it is related to the searched value or not.
It may also happen that You are watching the numbers in a wrong value type, like You see it in 4 bytes and it is a Double or Float, thry to check them all, maybe one of them will make sense.

Excellent! Thank you so much for this advice and the link. I had gone through most of those methods already but there's still some things to try on there.
I will give this a shot when I have some free time. Webkinz used to use the "4 bytes" x8 method, but like I said, not long ago this was changed. Now I'm trying to find out what it is they do use....
Thanks for the advice
