So, I moved to PNG right. With my mum, and her new husband. Leaving my dad is Canberra.

I thought I could survive a year with them. But my stepdad just keeps getting tighter. I am grounded at the moment for sitting in our back garden at 10, chilling and texting. It's such bullshit. My mum always preaches shit to me about wanting me to have a balanced life and whatever, but I have been playing games for the last week. It's bullshit.

Just felt like sharing.

Zelda_454, I hear what you are saying. I am new to this forum so you can chose whether or not to listen to what I have to say. I grew up sorta the same. My parents divorced when I was 12 and my mother married a man that would drink and hit my brother and myself. When I say hit I mean he quite literally would beat us. This went on for years. Up until the time that I grew big enough and started getting violent right back with him. This was wrong of me to do. It's was not a good solution.

I know what it can be like in that situation. If you can't talk to him about what the 2 of you can do to increase your personal liberties, you might try asking to be treated more like an adult. If you were out in the garden, what's the problem. Was it a school night? Did you fail to do an assigned chore? Was your mobile bill exceptionally high the previous month?

It could just be that some men have issues accepting offspring from a previous relationship. I'm not saying this is a fact, but in nature this is common among males.

Hang in there, it won't be bad forever.

BTW, here I am 22 years later, I moved out of my mothers more than 18 years ago, and never looked back. My relationship with my mother has eroded due to the man she chose to marry after my father. Not that she married but because it was to that prat. When I was old enough I left home. That is something you can look forward to. I guess my whole point here is that no matter what happens between you and your step father, don't ever let it come between you and your mother.

Why don't you just sit him down and have a talk with him? Tell him how you are feeling, yes it may sound gay but if you just whine on forums (especially ones that don't care) nothing will be achieved.
