I've got an iPod Touch, the latest generation I think, since I bought it just 3 weeks ago, and I updated to iOS4. It says it can multitask by tapping the home button 2 times, but it doesn't work for me...
Does anyone have an idea on what I'm doing wrong?

| Apps need to have implemented code so they support multitasking, meaning not all apps support it. You should jailbreak and save your SHSH so you will be able to downgrade at a later time.

Well, I did some research again, and found out that I've got a 2nd gen itouch, and im not sure if they are compatible with multitasking. Also found out I've got something people call an MC model, and that its not possible to jailbreak those. Not sure though.

| I think apple disabled multitasking on <3g due to hardware issues. About jailbreaking; I have a MC 3Gs iPhone and I jailbroke it. The latest jailbreak by comex is based on a website you go to on your device.(www.jailbreakme.com / http://jailbreakme.modmyi.com), use a program called Umbrella to backup your SHSH on Cydia's servers, or do it trough Cydia after you jailbroke.

iPhone ≠ ipod touch. You can jailbreak the 2nd gen ipod touch MC models, but not the 3rd gen MC models.

comex's new jailbreak pretty much can jailbreak every idevice including MC models..
edit; oh when you do jailbreak, if you wanna enable multitasking and wallpaper bg, download ztoggle from cydia and you can enable it from that app.
