It was placed in the slot you idiot, but I had to take the frame bit off of it because the motherboard is old and the PCI-E slot is in the middle of the card, so the frame didn't reach the back of the case and therefore would have gone into the motherboard and shit. No upgrades? And what? If he wants to upgrade (which he REALLY doesn't need to unless he wants to game with a huuuge FPS, but even then he needs a good graphics card and he could probably pull it off anyway) he can buy the new shit, but obviously right now he doesn't want to waste a shit ton of money on the new very expensive shit. On an honest note. A c2q is a great cpu. It is pretty strong and its got good performance. But truth is the socket is dead and its been replaced. You fail to see it was not cheaper. Benji is in the neitherlands right? Using pounds or euro whatever the fuck you want to call it, the price here is like 1/3rd less there. The i5 which benches better is in fact cheaper. Go price it out. Unless the c2q is under 200 where ever he lives, i5 was a better choice.

NONONONONONO. Do not buy a 5000 series radeon under 5770. If you have a bad budget get a 4850 which is 100USD as of now. 5770 is equal to power of a 4870, but with dx11. I think connor get a 4600 series card which is as low as you should go. the 5450 is a low profile card and its bad for gaming. I wouldn't even use it on valve games.

You're telling me an i5 (newer and known to be better) is cheaper than a quad core? Unless you switch manufacturers to a much cheaper one, just no. Also yes, I have a 4670 and it's pretty okay, but nothing amazing. I can run borderlands on full rather well.
