I can't even play Alien Swarm with it!
Counter Strike 1.6 = 3.5 FPS (average)...
STUPID Windows Vista - Acer Extensa 4620z
... its like 3-4 years old!

| I have an Acer too. 3 gb ram and 2 processors, and a good graphics card. But i've never been able to play games the way they're supposed to be played. Acer just sucks for gaming =/

I got around 2-4 gb of RAM, but it is STILL slow. I uninstalled mostly EVERY pre-installed (except the thing to reset the OS of the laptop)...
When I play a game, the audio starts repeating 1or2 seconds of what they are saying for like 1 minute!
I played Alien Swarm with LOW quality, Windowed, NO audio, and it still has like 0.5 FPS!

3-4 years ago, it was like 600,,, I got it as a birthday present... I should have waited till now and got an Alienware m11x for like $800... I don't care if I can't play with 60fps with the Alienware, I just want to be ABLE to play a game with atleast 15+ fps...

OP, install Windows 7.
Uses less resources than Vista; it's a start. The clean OS install will also remove any shovelware.
