Not sure where, you can't even choose a location to save them to.
It just saves when you exit. |

Get materials, if you don't have torches before nightfall, build a tower underneath yourself super high. (Look down, hop, place block, hop, place block, etc.)
After first couple nights:
Throw torches where ever you go.
Have a sword.
Possibly armor.
Make a fortress. |

My first night: I made a crafting table and a dirt house, and a door. I got 20 logs and am hiding in the corner of my house. I'm hoping to find some coal the second day, and make torches, so I can begin mining.
Also, is there less monsters outside during nightime in infdev or what? |

if you're having trouble fighting monsters, hunt sheep for wool to make into cloth armor to help out. you could make iron armor, but I wouldn't recommend that until you get so much iron you have nothing else to do with it.
