But don't you think if you point a gun at an armed criminal they will shoot? Criminals have lower morals than you, I assume. They will be first to shoot. They are already prepared for it. You are not.

So we are pretty much screwed. Guns will remain, they give power to the police. But also the criminals. For a gun ban to be effective, police have to disarm themselves, which takes their power away.

disarming the police will not mean disarming criminals. in some urban cities in china, police aren't allowed to have guns, but criminals still get their hands on them.

i have no idea where you people get these ideas. they do not increase violence. people can clearly distinguish between reality and the virtual world. giving someone weapon don't mean they are going to start killing people with it. if someone already made up the mind of committing violence, he/she will execute it regardless of a gun.

I agree that there is little/no evidence that games can encourage violence but for my point that guns can increase violence - Say some one is robbing a house and they have a weapon, then the owner comes down with a gun the robber will feel threatened and there is a higher chance they will use their weapon.
