Okay, I have used cheat engine since 5.1, And I've loved every aspect about it, but I think the trainer system could actually be the source for all trainers with just a few modifications.

1. Generate a source to be edited in c++ for the trainer once your done maybe? (So you can add more aspects, such as a better GUI or more powerful/complicated hacks, maybe like a packet editor)

2. The option to make it a .dll so it can be used for any process.

3. Fix the thing where if you don't select an icon it's not re-openable. (I'm not saying make it like that, it is like that. If you generate your trainer before selecting an icon, you cannot open it again with cheat engine to edit)

4. Make the User Interface more flexible if you disregard suggestion 1, such as the power to make it slightly transparent and dark.

5. Make it more powerful, such as being able to select the process from a dropdown box, inject .dll's for it.



Also I'll be listing some other suggestion later, here is one.

1. Can you do something with sending packets and cheat engine>

5. You can already inject dlls with ce


1. ce has a plugin for sending/receiving packets

also, I'm simply talking about adding .dll injectors to the trainer and packet editors etc etc, mainly just flexibility in the trainer making to make it more powerful.

For the record, I'm not asking dark byte to spoon feed us with his hackery goodness, just for him to add a c++ aspect or something.

the plugin folder has an uncompiled plugin for a packet editor

as for 1: The generated trainer is just a piece of data that is appended to the trainer and read out. You can see it like an embedded cheat table (Planning on adding the ability to make a installable trainer stub and people can then run the .cetrainer file which then gets loaded by the trainer loader)
And the trainer stub is in delphi, so making it output to c++ isn't useful in multiple ways

2: Not going to happen anytime soon. If you have to use dll injection to get it to work it's most of the time not worth making a trainer because it will be patched really soon then (especially for gunbound)

3: should already have been fixed (if you redownloaded ce a week after initial release)

4: I guess that can be done

5: use auto assemble scripts. Example, the AA command "LoadLibrary" can be used to inject any dll into the target process

If there isn't a way to highlight things in memory view and terminate it all at once, I'd like to see it in 5.7. If there is a way to do that, please tell me.

Maybe this could be a usefull feature.

Instead of just the standard add entry, delete entry

1. An option to edit entry could be added, that way you could edit your
existing trainer instead of redoing it.

2. Also the ability to export an entry (maybe in the edit entry) back to your table. I know i could use it since i have lost most of my tabels.

3. (optional) Instead of showing the version number that shows now.
You can specify what version the trainer is. Useful when you update with more options.

4. (optional) Make the trainers smaller in size.

Just my opinion on how to give the Trainer maker more power.

as for the trainer stuff
1: Perhaps
2: Perhaps
3: No idea
4: Probably not going to happen. The trainer will most likely grow 10 times the size it is now(if I add new stuff). Of course, I am planning on making a file extension called .cetrainer, they will be around 1-2KB big and when ran the trainerstub will handle it so you can share small files with people that already have the trainer stub installed and it'll show like it's a normal ce trainer
And of course, still the ability to merge the trainerstub and .cetrainer in one exe (This is also how the ce trainers work right now, it's just a trainerstub with the trainerdata appended)

You know when you're in memory view you can highlight stuff red? I want to be able to highlight a lot of it and be able to cut it instead of it going line by line holding spacebar.

One thing I'd like to see, is right click an address and have "Disassemble this address". Currently there is only "Browse this memory region". I'd like to be able to jump to the address in the disassembler and memory at the same time if possible as well.

SwaggaJackin', update to ce 5.6
There you can rightclick an address and choose "Disassemble this address"

alslo, if you press ctrl+space the hex part will go to that address as well

Just press ctrl+alt+f and fill in the start address and end address and fill in 20 (that's what you're doing if i'm not mistaken)

5.6 also has that (it's called disassemble this memory region, but it's what you want)

I was talking about the found address list on the left side

anyway, in this case just click browse this memory region and then press ctrl+space (when the hex part has focus)

Just wondering, in what situation do you have code entries in that list ?
