Avast, MSE, Avira. My choices (in that order).
Seriously though, say if you desperately want to open an infected file which you think is a cool game or movie despite everything your AV throws at you, there's nothing it can do. Common Sense series > everything.

Common Sense, then download AVG free once a year, run it just to see(make sure you backup all your hacking equipment), then uninstall and get back to what you were doing.

Uzeil I still like Common Sense 2011 running while I also have Eset Smart Security on.
Those 2 together are like almost unstoppable
obtw Avira isnt that good... for a free AV it's the best though, in my opinion.

No AV will protect you as nothing is ever perfect.
Some users no matter how much protection they got they always get infected, and for others its the opposite.
Common Sense 2011 is the best and sure way to keep a virus free PC.

| If you have linux, you don't even need the basic version of Common Sense 2011.
