Homeschool education is utter shit and should be banned.
Private education is iffy on being equals with public schools. Any normal public high school has Honors and AP programs for students who don't want the general, mediocre education. In both private and public, the students can be prep'ed for college/universities. Socially, public schools are better.
In the end, it's the same shit. Most of what you learn in high school(public or not) will be irrelevant once in college/university. It might be helpful in the first or second years, but that's as far as its usefulness goes.
this is my opinion on it, you have yours, don't care.
i'm gone :0

IN CANADA, WE DON'T HAVE AP
WE HAVE 4 LEVELS OF EDUCATION
Locally developed(For very stupid people, usually with mental disabilities or are niggers) , Open (Only applies to certain courses that mix retards with gifted, i.e. religion, electives, etc), Applied (For people that can't handle homework and need pictures to understand shit), Academic (Pretty much AP)

Are academic/university level courses in Canada actually the equivalent of AP level courses in the United States? I've never quite figured that out. :\
I'm pretty sure we still have AP or something similar (basically more work, harder stuff) in certain schools, and ofc there are IB courses as well.

Year 8 - Year 12 [High School]
America:
Head Start [Optional]
Pre Kindergarten
Kindergarten
Year 1 - Year 5 [Primary School]
Year 6 - Year 8 [Middle School]
Year 9 - Year 12 [High School]

1-8 and 9-12 actually, then it depends on the population and shit to separate and divide the elementary schools. Even if divided it still counts as one and I can't believe you're judging the education system based on how the years are divided.
Non american here btw

I've been told it was seperated like I posted.
And no, I just dislike their system in general. The way the years are divided are just a small fraction of why.

Our education system IS fucked. Teachers here are absolute dumbfucks as well.
I have 8 classes per day, which is total bullshit because I don't have time to actually learn something in each class. Each class is 45 minutes... I dislike school aside from the social experiences.

Seattle Schools District:
4 - Pre School
5 - Kindergarden (Elementary school)
6 - 1st grade
7 - 2nd grade
8 - 3rd grade
9 - 4th grade
10 - 5th grade
11 - 6th grade (Middle school/Jr. High)
12 - 7th grade
13 - 8th grade
14 - 9th grade (High school)
15 - 10th grade
16 - 11th grade
17 - 12th grade
18 - Grats, now you're in college (Varies with what career you choose)
Some schools will be grade 6 to seniors in high school. Some schools will do kindergarten to 8th grade. I'm not sure about a k - 12 school, though.
