well I guess I was wrong. what is a ghost drive then ?

the common use of that word is as a verb 'to ghost' a drive. it is in reference to the software by norton which duplicates a drive. essentially you can back up your drive on some other media then if you get some problem with your main, just wipe it and restore from the ghosted drive.
