I can picture myself attempting to spraypaint a case to look cool.
Not so much

The processor Phox found is a really good deal imo, but the case is ugly; this is better looking (imo) and 5$ less, although its somewhat... ostentatious. This is considerably cheaper and more stylish, without looking ridiculous. |
Pho/x/ thinks everyone have a drill at their house and prepared to spend countless hour modding a shitty case, painting it to look somewhere decent to cover up the buyer remorse.
Seriously guise, $60 for a Antec 300? |
I've heard good things about the antc three hundred, but if you don't like it, then that's perfectly. GUESS WHAT? IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT CASE YOU GET! Also, OP, you'd best be trolling. lol9500

Seriously guise, $60 for a Antec 300? | Unless you have a really powerful build or you plan on overclocking (anything that's going to be running pretty hot), you don't even need that good of a case. My case was $30, and it looks sweet and it keeps everything plenty cool enough to function without breaking a sweat.
I'm kind of rambling. What I'm trying to say is that, as long as the case you get doesn't suck (as in 100% acrylic, a single <50mm fan, etc; not the ones that suck according to your subjective opinion, I mean indisputably suck), you'll be fine.

Used to have a cheap case ($30 bucks) and it was alright, but it's not without its flaws. The case tends to rattle due to the case fans, and there can't be any complains since you go get what you pay for.
And as I've added more components, the cases cooling have started to loose its edge so I've went out and bought myself one with better cooling and plenty of hand room to work with, but those are pretty darn expensive.
As with them "gaming" case they are for those who have absolutely no taste in style, functionality, and beauty. All they care about is how bright are their LED fans while screaming I'm a ricer fag at the top of their lungs.

Okay, thanks Phox.
I'll check out some other cases and see if I can find anything better.

| Get a coolermaster case, or antec. They look cool, and they don't have fucking LED except the power button. On my coolermaster case the power LED lights it up on its own. I also read none of this, but you should get the phenom II x6 1055T, OC it to 4.0ghz, and show off your giant e-penis. You can OC it on air alone and get a cpu benching higher than an I7. YEA BITCHES, LESS THAN HALF PRICE, AND ITS FUCKING AMAZING. Take that intel, and shove it in your 1.1kUSD cpu that costs more because its "unlocked".

On my case there's a button to turn off the rice shit. I got it because of the nice reviews of it and the airflow.

except an i7 costs the same as a 1055 if you go to microcenter
and protip: they can overclock too.

ok, compare their performance.
the 6 core intels absolutely fucking smash AMD. even a 4 core i7 is rough shit and wins in cases where raw core speed trumps the number of cores.
ps,
microcenter i7 920:
Our Price: $169.99
the x6 is a good competitive chip to the 4 core intel stuff, but it's hardly a match clock per clock.

| it's on par because when it comes down to it, we're still almost always in a gpu bound situation save for some titles.
