I recently purchased an Asus EEE PC 4g surf off ebay, it came installed with ubuntu, I hate linux, I don't know how to uninstall it, computer is useless to me without windows.

Things to know:
•No CD drive
•I went in the bios and changed boot priority to my flash drive (has the windows .ISO on it, I thought I could install it)

•After I say save and exit in the bios it just loads from the HDD.

•HDD is 4GB so...

Please help, I really want windows so I can use my PC.

Make sure the SD is actually bootable.

Don't bring RS into other sections; I believe this has been said before.

Has the ISO been extracted on the flash drive, or is it the ISO itself?

I think part of your problem is the fact that any version of windows higher than xp needs alot more than 4 gb to install. Win7 for instance, totally installed, takes about 15 mb's of disk space. You could prolly do xp, which has a minimum recommended free disk space of 2 gbs. Still, you won't be able to download much, and it would be a LOT slower than ubuntu. I apologize that I can't really help you with getting windows on, but I can tell you that once you do you won't be very satisfied with the outcome. My advice: Don't bother.

Whatever I said that you think doesn't make sense doesn't even matter. Most important parts of the post highlighted.

You're going to have Windows running live off of a flash drive. I mean, do you have any idea how slow that's going to be?

Trust me, if you don't like linux, you probably shouldn't have gotten that netbook. Also, what don't you like about linux?

I don't understand how to install applications I use everyday e.g. flash player, and where the mian control panel is, things like that.

Applications -> Ubuntu Software Centre

Not that hard. Easier to install software than in windows..

Additionally, if there are some applications that you absolutely need that don't have a linux version, get Wine.
