Quick question:
will the last build that i posted in this thread work correctly?
Like, are there any actual problems with it?
Also, what can i expect to get out of it game-wise? |

The IDE port is for those who have already own a IDE drive from their previous machine and it's still working fine. If OP is getting a brand new system, a SATA drive will be better off. Besides there are plenty of SATA ports so 1 or 2 SATA DVD drives won't hurt.
And why not get the AMD Phenom II X6? | Mine was only a year old. They still sell new IDE based dvd drives that have everything from light scribe to multi burner. |
My motherboard has 8 SATA slots and 2 IDE slots. I am using 4/8 of the SATA and my old DVD drive with one of the IDE's. _________________

I guess Sata dvd is faster right? Then ya get that. But still nothing wrong with having an IDE dvd drive. I mean, ever mobo still has an IDE even when it has 2 - 10 sata ports. Its an option, or he could have a dvd IDE and a bluray sata. :\ |

because
1. ide cables suck dick
2. mobos have 9120391 sata ports anyway
3. using ide is dumb and if you use it over sata you are dumb |

I'm placing the order for this today.
Can someone please tell me if there's still something wrong and what can I expect game-wise from it?
Like... what benchmark would I be able to pass with this PC build?

Planning on using Windows 7? You'll get awesome benchmarks, I'm sure, but you won't be playing many games on Ubuntu or Linux. |

<don't want to waste 1k on a piece of crap> | That's certainly not a piece of crap by any stretch of the word. That one will do better than my computer, which can already run pretty much all games at highest settings.
So you can expect to get everything out of it game-wise. _________________

| Sata cables? Cables could be a problem if you don't already have a semi-modern computer. |
