GMod would be better, but half the textures people use in GMod are from counterstrike, so if you don't have it, you'll have a lot of purple and black squares and ERROR props.
Just put a teeny bit more money in and get both. They're worth it.

Could imagine it being pretty fun if there was some sort of multi-player in it. Can't you just picture it, a whole bunch of rabbits with swords and clothes jumping around like crazy in a peaceful forest, neglecting all common sense and laws of physics and motion. :>
