we dont even know if you have a good enough PSU to handle the said cards. Or if he will massively bottleneck it. Whats your monitor size?

I just got my Alienware M15x with pretty much maxed out specs, and it's great. The video card it came with is 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M, and it was more expensive than the ATI ones available, so I'd say go for that.
Another sidenote, Alienware are great, but you pay a great deal for the designer name as well, on top of that, their laptops are known to have some liability issues sometimes. Ever since Dell bought them out they've been going downhill. You should only get one if you can afford to pay loads extra just for the gimmick of having an Alienware computer.

if you paid full price for the M15x, you're an idiot.
Dell always hands out 20-40% coupon and $20 off $100.
At that price point you would be looking for a laptop with better hardware based and support (Asus) or sager shit.
also gaeming laptop with MXM is just full of lolz
