Like title says, Is there an updated Tut for building C.E.?
If not could someone be so kind as to point me in the right direction to find a tut for an older C.E. source build?
I have been away from the C.E. scene since v 5.2 and am a little out of the loop.
Thanks for your help
-Terra
Edit: I have tried searching but considering the main keywords are cheat engine and tut(orial) I get a ton of results and none of them that I looked through seemed to be one.

first build the standalone trainer with assembler
then build cheat engine
build dbk32
and build the driver (ddk version 7600.16385) using ce.bat
Make sure the path you're in is written using dos-16 formatting, or at least has no spaces

Thank you Very much Dark Byte. You help is greatly appreciated.
Hmm, when I run ce.bat I get an error saying
'build; is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

you need to run ce.bat from inside the appropriate build environment

Thank you very much again, I just successfully built the C.E.
Was using free build environment, used checked instead and works great.

How do I fix this in Windows 7? I had to edit ce.bat to change "command" to "cmd", but I don't know what to do about "build".

you must be in the proper build environment to run ce.bat (and never doubleclick on ce.bat or run it using cmd alone)

Yeah, I just figured out what "proper build environment" means. But it didn't help. "Command" still wasn't recognized in the XP Checked environment and "build" propped up two errors. When I moved the DBKKernel directory out of the "/Cheat Engine/" path created by TortoiseSVN, "build" executed properly, but then I got 200+ errors.
Code: |

that command doesn't work doesn't matter
the problem is that you're in a path with a space in it
you must go to c:\svn\cheate~1\dbkkernel and run ce.bat there

How do I get TortoiseSVN to not create a directory with a space? I have 8.3 names disabled, so "cheate~1" doesn't work because there are no short names.

checkout to a different folder.
Or just rename it afterwards

Okay. Did that, and...
13 files compiled - 268 Errors
1 executable built - 1 Error
pastebin.c0m/4xmHyri2 (replace 0 with 'o')

try building from the xp checked environment (and not the amd64 version of xp ) edit: seems you already do
also, try fixing the declaration at line number 4226 in ntifs.h
as for the 'naked' being a problem, not sure, I use DDK version 7600.16385 , which one do you use ? (you can get the latest version of the windows driver foundation from connect.microsoft.com )

I installed 6000. I'm guessing that CE has been updated to the latest DDK?
