Is Morpheus 'The One'?

Like, his duty in the matrix was to find someone to free the humans and blah blah blah. He chose to contact Neo to bring him into the real world because the humans needed to be saved. He believed that Neo was The One. Now if the matrix works like I think it does, all you got to do to make something occur is believe it to be true. So if Morpheus convinced Neo that he(neo) was the One, then Morpheus must have believed that Neo was the one. He indirectly saved the humans by creating the supposed One. So like, shouldn't he be the One since Neo was merely a creation of Morpheus's will and beliefs? Like... if it wasn't for Morpheus, then there would be no 'The One' because Neo would have just been killed by the Agents or he would have lived another ordinary made up life inside the matrix.

this shit left me thinking for days after I saw the movie, and then i saw a post here about the matrix just now so it got me thinking of it again :0

No, because what you believe to be true can't affect the other people, only yourself. For instance, you can't just will someone to explode.

But it wasn't to affect others. He was merely following his own prophecy. He was the one who had to find The One. He had to find the guy to save the humans. If he didn't find Neo, then the humans would have been royally fucked up the ass by the machines. Morpheus matches the purpose of The One.

Well that's like saying his mother and father were also The One, along with his grandparents, great-grandparents, and so on. Additionally, everyone that was with him that helped keep him alive was The One. You see where I'm going here?

Except the fact that it was Morpheus who got the prophecy, not his parents. It was Morpheus who was directly responsible for Neo being capable of becoming The One. It was Morpheus who trained Neo and made him(neo) believe that he was The One. Morpheus saved the humans by taking Neo out of the Matrix. It was his will inside the Matrix that gave Neo the ability to become what he was.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that Neo was merely a puppet for Morpheus's prophesy. Had Morpheus had a different prophesy, where would Neo still be? All Neo is is the byproduct of Morpheus's beliefs on The One. I guess you could say that Morpheus's prophesy could be interpreted as him creating the weapon to bring down the machines.

ok, lets put it this way since i had philosophy in mind when i made this thread:

Morpheus has a gun.
Neo is the bullet.

Without morpheus, Neo wouldn't have become The One. He wouldn't have become the one to save the humans.

So....
Morpheus rescued/chose Neo as The One, and by turn he ended up turning Neo into the bullet that ended the war.

So who's actually responsible for the killing? The guy who fired the gun? or the bullet?
It's the guy who fired the gun. A bullet alone is worthless.

and i'm gone:
woke up to drink water and take a piss, saw PC still on ;_;
tis 3:40am.

Nothing you say matters because the movie was made with Neo as the one. The movie can't change, it's how it is. It's written down that Neo is the one.

If Morpheus was 'The One', he would have been able to stop the machines just as Neo did.

However he didn't.
So, lol fail Morpheus being 'The One'.
