I got them to lower their price by pointing out the absurdity of pricing that product at $760. Yet, they still have it $16 higher than if you bought the 4 separate sticks. Am I missing something here? Is there something special about buying a 16 GB set? I would think that most companies would offer such a product at a lower cost than 4 separate ones, as it would serve an incentive to buy more from them.

You could build a decent system with that much money. Forget it: 16GB doesn't make sense on a PC; server RAM is buffered and ECC-enabled.
The prices are what Newegg wants to sell them at, not necessarily what G.Skill suggests. Win for us if we save money by buying 4 4GB sticks rather than 4x4GB kit. _________________
