Windows won't read CDs

I uninstalled the driver already, that didn't work. I don't know what to do.

When I restart, it shows up on My Computer, but when I try to open it/burn something on it it doesn't read.

Do you have a CD drive and are trying to read DVDs.

Figure out what type of CD drive you have. Go the the brand names site and download the correct driver for it and install it. Re-start and should be just fine.

You sure it's not a problem with the hardware? Try to access it through linux.

It's the disks, as I can run and view the files in my TinyXP disk fine.
