I don't know, might be able to play them on a virtual iPhone simulator or something. Don't know of any personally.

Well, if you have a mac and can hack the IPA, then sure you got a emulator, else, it's very difficult on windows, close to impossible.

I think it is possible. Touchscreen support could be easily emulated with a mouse. i have no idea about its inner functionality, how similar or not they are to the way PCs function. So it looks like my answer is they are just as different as any other handhelds.

I know they exist, my friend has made numerous apps for the istore, and one of the benefits (along with getting all the apps he wanted for free) was being supplied with an iphone emulator for his macbook. It's probably not open to the public though.

an iphone emulator simply displays the iphone screen on your computer. You need an actual iphone to be plugged in for the emulator to run. As of right now they do not have a real emulator for the iphone OS

Nope. I only know there's a iphone system simulator called MobiOne.
