About forty years ago or so, Circumcision was offered as a medical practice. Since it stopped, the overall numbers have been rapidly declining. =/ Look for a 2010 map. Also, doesn't change the fact that it's not a majority like you originally stated. 13% error is not that big of a difference when you compare it to your majority claim vs the actual data.
And if you already stroke in shower, then the hygiene/health issues shouldn't be a problem if you had a normal penis instead of a mutilated one.

How is the unnecessary amputation of a functional organ healthy? What about the resulting emotional trauma for the baby that can lead well into adulthood? The "because it's healthy" argument only applies if you can't clean your dick more than once a month, which I would hope wouldn't apply to anyone here and is thus irrelevant. Your hands would get nasty as fuck if you never washed them too, better just cut them off.

They don't. People in certain regions practice it because it's just what they're used to, their father was circumcised, his father was too. I'm sure there's at least one religion that has some practice that you think is absolutely retarded and barbaric...that's how the rest of the world views circumcision. There isn't any reason to do it, some people just don't know any better.
