My point is that it's such a petty thing to argue over and he probably has no knowledge about it that the only reason to bring it up is if he was a PS3 fanboy. There's a reason DirectX is more widely used than OpenGL or other, and it's not because Microsoft forces everyone to use it.

Regardless if I wanted to I could buy a movie off the Zune marketplace and stream/download it in 1080p for cheaper then buying a Blu-Ray disc.

More like, it isn't outdated shit like OpenGL and have better performance on modern PC ( face it, ATI 4xxx series fails at GL,CL, so does fermi with no driver supporting it) being monopoly isn't issue itself, OpenGL had its day when Direct3D is being shit.

We aren't talking about pc. We are talking about how microsoft makes it difficult to use anything but directx to develop on xbox360. As i showed above they look practically the same except when it comes to lighting and shading.
