Yeah, Hero. That's kinda the point. Just like getting an oil change for a car every x miles. It'll still run fine up until a certain point, but 'best' is always better than 'well damn, not it's getting too hot, I should have filled it up a few months ago'

You cannot compare a car to a pc. A pc will just overheat and turn off. A car motor will stop functioning period. Two very different worlds. Changing the oil on a car also keeps it from turning to sludge. You would know this right? Because the water in his liquid cooler is going to turn to sludge right? WRONG. Its water.

Do not compare pcs to my profession. Cars are a lot more in depth.

I'm comparing the performance drop of each one. 6 months is probably the time they averaged out to be around when temperatures start going up due to less liquid. And I'm not comparing a PC to a car, I'm comparing the performance drop. Thanks.

It still would not kill it. It would detect the heat is high and turn off. A car would stop moving. The pc would turn back on. Water will still not turn to sludge. He would be fine unless to much evaporates. Oil will turn to sludge and fuck up the engine completely.

So Hero, you're saying overheating isn't a problem? I can just wait until my PC cools back down and then I can turn it back on again? There's no permanent damage from heat? Well alright then, I guess I'll just take out my heatsink and let my processor run bare.

No ya dork, I mean if it does over heat nothing is going to freaking happen. Its going to shut down, you will say " Oh, must need to be refilled or cleaned or BOTH", and then you will do it. Because they kept comparing it to car oil. Its not the same at all. It just pissed me off because its my profession and they know nothing. It doesn't mater does it? He knows to refill it every 6 months or so. Topic should have been closed already.
